How can pregnancy yoga help you?

 

Expect to learn ways to relax using relaxation techniques to help you cope with pregnancy & then moving into birth & labour. In our yoga practice we will encourage a deep and intimate connection with your baby. The aim of the classes are to empower you to trust your own instincts and listen to your body - you’ll learn to increase your focus and stay calm in the moment using deep breathing exercises and poses that will strengthen your body.

It will also help you:

  • To improve your babies birth position & allow for OFP Optimal Fetal Position

  • To get comfortable with being uncomfortable

  • To learn how to rest more efficiently & let go of what you can’t control

  • To learn to trust your body & the natural birth process

  • To use our breath to work with labour, the sensations, the intensity & the unpredictability of labour & birth.

Practising yoga during pregnancy helps to gently stretch and tone your body as the baby grows, supports birth preparation and promotes a sense of balance and wellbeing leaving you feeling energised, refreshed and calm. 

All pregnancy classes and flows are designed by me, to support you through your second and third trimester right up to labour.

  • Is this for me?

    Classes welcome all pregnant mamas from 12 weeks to birth. There is no need to have a yoga practice before attending. It will be about coming to the Mat Mum & Bump for some gentle and nourishing movement.

  • What can I expect?

    Through the practice, we’ll be encouraging the body to move & work in a safe & gentle way, maintaining strength in preparation for labour while still having some lovely stretches & rest time.

  • How can I join?

    In Person classes are now available and with these it is just a matter of booking in. Classes are on Tuesday night each Month dates and times are sent out by email so you can book the course

This subscription includes In person classes accessible for the month and also access to all on demand content a library of Pregnancy Yoga Classes available for Mum to be to practice at any time within the month.

Classes include Yoga for Pregnancy, breathing techniques, optimal foetal positioning, hypnobirthing, affirmations, birth preparation and Meditation.

There are hours of content to be watched and repeated as often as you need. The yoga flows included can be practice from 12 weeks up to birth. The classes are tailored to suit all levels with modifications to suit you and your body. You don’t need to have previous yoga experience to practice.

How to be ready for your home practice?

The space that is created during a studio class can be created in your home too, here’s how to make your space extra special.

  • Make your space cosy! Just like in class find a nice corner in your house or room and make this your sacred space.

  • Create an atmosphere - light a candle, put on some music.

  • Join in your pjs or anything that is most comfortable for you.

  • Allow this time for yourself you deserve it and most importantly ENJOY!
